Nestled in the dense foliage of Kilbury forest, Pangot is a sleepy hamlet in the Himalayas which is popular amongst the birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts for harboring Cheer Pheasant, Khalij Pheasant, Koklass Pheasant, Siberian Rubythroat, Black Francolin, Himalayan Woodpecker, Scimitar Babbler, etc. From Pangot you will head towards Binsar. Bounded by the spellbinding views of Himalayan peaks such as Chaukhamba, Nanda Devi, Nanda Kot, Panchachuli, and Kedarnath, the place is a birdwatching paradise attracting birds from all corners. Munsiyari is the next destination in focus. Sitting at an elevation of 2,200 meters, the place offers splendid vistas of natural beauteousness. While traversing through its topsy-turvy lanes you might come across Himalayan Monal, Fire-breasted Flowerpecker, Cutia, Green-tailed Sunbird, and Bearded vulture. Chaukori is yet another destination that will be covered in this adventurous excursion. Besides being known for its snow-clad mountains and starry nights the place is a humble abode for Hill Partridge, Black Francolin, Oriental Turtle-Dove, Eurasian Collared-Dove, Red-wattled Lapwing, Great Barbet, Brown-fronted Woodpecker, Dark-sided Flycatcher, Mistle Thrush, etc. Jageshwar is the second last stopover on this trip. Being an ancient village that is renowned for preserving the 2500-year-old Shiva Temple, this sleepy hamlet is a permanent residency for several beautiful birds including Verditor Flycatcher, Red-billed Blue Magpie, Black-throated bushtit, Green-backed tit, Plumbeous water redstart, Brown Dipper, Crested Kingfisher, etc. Nainital is the last destination that will be explored in this tour.
